Oil Extraction in Ranch Simulator
(Sites Locations and Income)

Extracting Oil in Ranch Simulator is a great way of making income.

In this guide, you will learn how to start the Oil Extraction business and how much income you will get from it.

Tutorial

To start, you need to find an Oil Well Site.

An active oil well site has a dark oil puddle and looks like this:

There are 11 Oil Well Sites on the base game map, only 2 of them are active.

The 2 active oil well sites are random on every new game.

As for the Southwest DLC map, there are 5 active oil well sites.

3 of them are always in the same location but you will have to purchase the farms they're in to be able to extract the oil.

Those 3 sites are sites #1, #2 and #3 (check image below).

The other 2 active well sites are random on every new game.

Build a Drill Rig on top of the site using 20 Concrete and 20 Metal ($300).

After that, fill the machine with fuel then press "E" to activate it and it will start extracting oil.

It takes the machine one hour (real time) to extract 50 Units of Oil (capacity of one barrel).

The Drill Rig can hold 1000 Units of oil, once it's full or has no fuel, it will stop extracting oil.

You can open the map and hover your mouse over the Drill Rig Icon to see how full it is.

Every 5% is 50 Units of oil.

To collect oil, buy an Oil Barrel from the Hardware Store ($250) and press "E" on the drill rig while holding the barrel.

The rig uses 1L of Fuel to extract 10 Units of Oil.

An Oil Barrel capacity is 50 units which means you can fill 1 Oil Barrel using 5L of Fuel ($5).

Income

A full Oil Barrel (50 Units) is sold for $500 anywhere (Best Burger, the Hardware Store or the General Store).

Achievement

To earn the "Oil Tycoon" Achievement, you need to sell $10,000 worth of oil which is equivalent to 20 Full Oil Barrels.
